Kalsubai, the name given to a mountainous site in India in the Maharashtra, also designates the protective goddess of the Koli. For Yudhajit Basu, her legend evokes the revolt of a woman against an archaic patriarchy. His film, composed of pictorial static shots, plunges us into an enchanting reverie that seeks out traces of this ancestral myth in the contemporary world.
